Women’s Rights in Afghanistan

Oxfam’s new report, A Place at the Table: Safeguarding Women’s Rights in Afghanistan, warns that “There is a risk that the government may sacrifice women’s rights in order to secure a political deal with the Taliban and other armed opposition groups.” My friend and client Khaled Hosseini added his voice to others standing with Oxfam in drawing attention to this important human rights issue.
